Welcome

Partners for a Competitive Workforce is a partnership in the Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana tri-state region focused on meeting employer demand by growing the skills of our current and future workforce.

Our partners include businesses, workforce investment boards, chambers of commerce, educational institutions, labor, service providers and philanthropic funders. The partnership is managed by United Way of Greater Cincinnati, with major support provided by the National Fund for Workforce Solutions and local funders

We have come together to coordinate all of the region’s workforce efforts under a common umbrella, set joint priorities, and track our progress. By joining efforts, we aim to accelerate the pace of collaboration so that our region goes farther, faster in preparing our workforce to compete. Contact us.

There are more than 25,000 jobs open today in the Greater Cincinnati area, despite the fact there are 85,000 people looking for work. Recognizing that the region’s long-term success depends on the creation of a qualified workforce, PCW is focused on growing the skills of the region’s current and future workers, such as those who graduate from the Mercy Neighborhood Ministries' Home Care Aide Training program.
